I read your review of "Whatever Happened to P.J. Soles" - hands down the most well-informed review of an album I've ever come across. I didn't even realize the album was conceptual (I've only had it for three days). The connections you made to "Everyone Alive" and Palahniuk's "Fight Club" were interesting, not something I would have considered. Your summary of the track progression was storylike in detail; I'll definitely run through the cd again with your comments in mind. Anyway, I just signed up to say that this is an awesome review, and rock on!

I am glad you enjoyed the review. It is one of my favorite albums, coming from one of the most honest bands alive. So now, a month or so later, what do you think of the album still? Also, this might be a bit silly of a question, but have you ever seen Local H live, and have you ever heard any of their other albums?
Rock on.

Wow, almost a whole year. My absentmindedness has reached epic proportions. College interrupted.
I meant to check for your reply and completely forgot. I'm sorry! I really appreciate you taking the time to reply and I'm sorry I didn't do the same. That said... I'll reply now, even if you've disappeared, etc.
So after having this for almost a year, I have to say it's holding out as one of my favorite albums. I think this might be my favorite Local H album, though running a close race with "As Good As Dead." This is really the best kind of album to hope for from an experienced band - it really showcases the talent they've picked up along the way, though I'm sure the drummer change had something to do with that. I still favor Joe, which is why I can't call WHTPS my favorite hands-down. I've never had the opportunity to see the band live but I've heard their shows are awesome.
I noticed you're starting a guide for the Toadies, can't wait to read that. Have you heard of the Burden Brothers, Todd Lewis's new band? Boasts the guitarist from GWAR and the ex-drummer of Reverend Horton Heat. Interesting sound, to say the least. I promise it's great, though, and if you haven't yet you should pick up the cd.
Well, I hope you're still posting guides - you've certainly got the knowledge and the knack for it. Sorry again for the delay!
