SO, do you ever read the notes on writing in expert advice and so on? I think you should as youve the beginnings of a good writer. Ive been a bit off the mark altely, but I dont expect too mcu h from myself every day, just in the bigger picture!

yes, i have read a lot of the expert advice, i am just a schmuck for taking advice... i know EVERYTHING.. you know the sort. read some of yer stuff, lookin´good, going to pass my judgement over chlorine river, which i liked, read it.

Behind?? youre at the forefront of life! Pity us in the big smoke, choking for that green some us have not even seen. Picking our way on the pavement over chewing gum, straining for the sky between the skyscrapers. THrough books we travel in uor armchairs, through the box we are filmed away, but nothing is like waking up where you are and seeing tyeh expanse of land laid out before you like an inviting map of distant possiblity.

I want to be able to smell that freshness I once knew........ah its really in us sint it and being serperate from it.,... hey! uncanny! read my last poem, instead of Carefree Laughter I had written "climbing trees and skimming stones" , well its bascially nature where it that carefre alughter lies ensconsed in moss and brook bracken and delightful crocus pushing up the winter earth - forerunners of the explosion of spring!

ps that one about the girl, where di you get the idea from, please tell me it was a news story or something far removed. Its scary stuff. Of all things we can forgive anything but the tampering of innocence, thats a domino to the death of us all.

about the girl poem... everyone asks where did it come from, i have been hesitant to answer not because it was personal but becuase i made a mistake! it was a news item here. a young 11 year old raped and beaten then thrown from a bridge into traffic (lovely place really!) anyway it sickened me and so i wrote the poem. the mistake was that i mis-translated the reporter, it was actually a young boy. so it remains fictional i guess.... but there is a point in there regardless.

whether i can say the news report was far removed is different. just because it wasnt someone close or a relative doesnt mean it doesnt hurt. no man is an island

read that convo, I agree. I feel that is a very useful way of writing - a topical story that you feel strongly about.

do you want to post on the writing by nubmers group? Its only me Jellymountain and Oz there at the moment. You just post a story a month, even one thats already in your portfolio and we read it and try and give feedback, in return you read ours thats three stories to read in reutn for three feedbacks on your own. Its been really useful.
