Yes, it's the not so known infamous Dorian Grey. I've bumped into you several times here and there around the guide. After my display of idiocy today I'd thought I might stop by for a chat.

Why hello again.
Not idiocy. You're just making your point, I think. And it's a good thing. If I remember correctly, you're a bit younger than I am - it's a good thing to make your opinion known.
So how are you doing? I myself have just come back from the crummy uni doctor's office with news of a lovely ear infection. What a dumb thing for a musician to get.

bit younger yes, if I remember from a quick reading of your sight awhile ago you are either 20 or 21 ish I know it starts with a two.
Ear infections are no good. What instrument do you play or are you a singer?
I do a bit of music myself. Been playing the flute for nie on ten years now.
Peace out

20. I turn 21 next July (woohoo - US legal drinking age!)... but I think I act about 7.
I actually play flute, too - for about 11 years now. And I used to sing alto, but haven't done choir for ages. Plus I've taken a bit of piano and taught myself a little guitar and penny whistle.
I'm a music major here at uni, too. and an English major. I'm also probably clinically insane, but that's a side note.

My friend Sam and Strider both think I went over the deep end a long time ago.
If you don't mind me asking, what country do you live in?
and What type of music do you like to play best. I'm all over the baroke (completely misspelled) style, and I play alot of Bach.

I'm on the east coast of the US, in the mountains of southwest Virginia at university, right now. Where're you at?
My favorite things to perform on flute are French pieces - my teacher says I play too much of it and it's messing me up. And I like more modern things - Katherine Hoover and the like.

So the drinking age is something for you to think about. I thought you might be from germany because Uni is their ad. for univeristy. I live in western mass USA. And only being eighteen I have awhile before I can legally drink.

I just refer to college as uni because it makes more sense to most people on here - plus having many British friends and a Brit bf, I picked up some of the lingo.
I'm kind of glad that I'll be turning 21 soon - mostly so I can prove that the reason I'm not a drunken slob right now is cause I'm not into it, not because I can't.

Dorian Gray Posted Dec 4, 2002
So let me get this straight you want to be a drunken slob but can't because why?

No, I *don't* want to be a drunken slob. Doesn't appeal to me. But as I'm under 21 still, it's also illegal.

That doesn't stop me. Well it didn't stop me, but now I'm unable to drink, any liquar except small amounts of wine.
I got REALLY plastered last new years and alcohal makes me fissically sick.
But so is life. I'm glad to hear you have no aspreations of growing up to be the village drunk.

Awww. I know some people who are allergic to alcohol, which is worse than simply overdrinking and getting . Just isn't my idea of fun.
But on my 21st... I'll make an exception. (and be sick for days, in all likelihood).

As I understand it, drinking has the same "appeal" in the UK as it does in the US- despite the differences in legal drinking ages. Dunno why, though.

No let the question be refraised. Is there the same insane mania over alcohal and as many s**t faced college kids, and parties in the uk?

As I understand it, yes.
Friend of mine at Oxford woke up in a gutter one morning after getting really drunk. So yeah.

Dorian Gray Posted Dec 5, 2002
Well the way I'm going I'll be lucky if I make to the gutter. There are enough people that hate I might never leave the bar.

Alcohol just makes things worse... trust me... problems are still there the next morning. Often with a few extras.
