NorthamptonRoyal and Derngate again tomorrow night. Going to see Jethro Tull. Probably quite apt that one of their most well known numbers is 'Living in the Past'.
There are two relatively young people in my office (early 20s and early 30s). I asked them if they knew who/what Jethro Tull is/was. One thought I was talking about a comedian, and the other said 'wasn't he in a band'. Near enough I suppose. I just hope Ian Anderson can still balance on one leg.

I once gave a Jethro Tull record (yes, I am *that* old) to a friend for his birthday (I think it was his 39th birthday):

He's a year older than me.

Jethro Tull was really great. Sound balance/Ian's voice was a bit disappointing - I couldn't pick up many lyrics (and I can't remember them), but the music was brilliant. Even the 'new' members of the group were getting on a bit, but playing superbly nevertheless. Ian can still play standing on one leg.
The amount of people (mostly men I must say) that were there who seemed to have got perpetually stuck in the 60's/70's was a bit disconcerting. Stringy and wayward hair down to their shoulders - but none on their foreheads. Not a good look.

Glad you had a good time. I don't think I could play the recorder standing on just one leg. I'm sure I never could.
