Call centres, in cardiff??

Hi.
I thought the idea was to outsource all call centres to India and places like that!
I also work in a callcentre in Bristol for a bank.
Luckily I work days but sadly I can only use the p.c. during my lunch break.
Is the wonderful world of directory enquiries still as awful as when I worked for talking pages? (I worked there for four days before they sacked me for not sticking to the script!)
Luckily now I'm allowed to use my own words or else I'd give up call cntres altogether! In fact, this job would be great if it weren't for the customer's phoning up all the time!
If I ever get a sleepless night I'll check if you're logged in

Hi
Thanx for the message. I've been away for a long w/e and haven't been logged on since last Tues so I've only just got it
We're still in Cardiff for the time being but who knows what they'll end up doing in the future!! Unfortunately, personnel costs are a lot cheaper in India and apparently they get a graduate to work for 1/3rd of the money they pay us here
I work for 118888 and it's not so bad! We do have a script to stick to but it's only an opening and closing script - inbetween we can use our own initiative to get info out of the callers You have to be a mind reader in this job
If ever your around in the evening I work 8pm tp 8am so just drop me a line and I'll get back to you (work load permitting)
Helen
