Wisdom - I think not

As one of the last, relatively purely-carbon-based life form (Certain silicon symbioses) I'm unsure whether I can claim any type of journal-istic 'wisdom' - but received a certain amount of gratification watching a newsnight article last night on the GMO debate. Relevant to the 'eat me' animule at Milliways (P.S. anyone sampled the VERY nice fayre at milliways - Golden Bay NZ - always vegan dishes). Anyhow the recent biotech blarney that's been blaring was blasted. (Phew) Touchingly naiive I thought - our American Bros & Sis certainly didn't understand the level of knowledge around the whole subject - awoken by a recent, gentle flap of a Monarch's wing I suppose. But lovely to hear - even though steered by market forces, not a sense of planetary conscience (none depicted anyhow) that farmers are rejecting the whole forced marketing of the seeds (imagine that - prices going up & up) - especially when they were saying that their yields were still not on a par with the conventional way of planting - with no less use of agrochems. Not what we want (OK what I want) - Farm ecology please. So hooray - Mon$anto will have to regroup yet again - I hope some Organic farmers follow through with loss of earnings suits - I know there are billion$ at stake so watch this space. - Oh no-one's read this far... oh well I got my gratification - back to 1024 lines of complicated sex.
