Getting my ducks in a row (and other clichés)

I got most of my travel arrangements for the next two days sorted out yesterday. It was all simplified greatly when they discovered that my extra dialysis was too late for the morning Red Cross run, and too early for the evening Red Cross run. I'm paying for my own taxis.
I don't expect to get home much before 11pm, and I have to be out of the house again by 7:30am tomorrow, so I probably won't be posting a journal tonight. (So, what's new? - Ed.)
I'm going into hospital tomorrow for a very minor operation, to create a "Fistula" at the top of my left arm which, when it "matures" in about 6 weeks will allow the dialysis team alternative, and hopefully better, access to my bloodstream.
Right now, I'm waiting for some folk from the Cleansing department to show up - all I got told was "morning" - so they can take away my last eight months worth of recycling.
As I type this, my Hackintosh is doing £90-odd worth of downloads - I just bought a new copy of "Poser" on a half-price offer. I've been missing it ever since Grambo destroyed my original "legit but not replacable" install CD for Poser 1. This one is "download only" so I don't have to worry about him trying to borrow it again.
Last night, I watched "Longmyre", "Arrow", "CSI" and "Criminal Minds".

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
