When I was trying out the laptop in the ward, I discovered that I couldn't load any of the 3D objects that I had into Vue. 
I assumed I had just broken them while I was copying them. But today I discovered that they couldn't be loaded on the old computer either. 
I have no idea when they were corrupted, but they are all corrupted. I re-downloaded one from the e-on website, and it's now the only file that will load. 
What this means is that I'm going to have to spend at least a day downloading and unpacking hundreds, if not thousands of files. 
And in the meantime, it's not worth the effort of dragging the laptop into the ward, as I can't really do anything productive without these files. Also, the short (2 hour) battery life is a problem. I've ordered up two extra batteries, at a total cost inc.postage of around £75, but as they're coming from the USA it may take a couple of weeks for them to arrive. And when I do have them, organising a recharging schedule will be "fun"... 
I watched "Law & Order" and the first episode of season two of "Hemlock Grove".
