Right. Forgive the delay in posting, but...
I was called into hospital on Sunday morning for a "minor procedure".
This morphed into a full-blown operation that was scheduled for 8pm.
Which got pushed back till midnight.
Except at 10pm it got postponed because my theatre place was "bumped" in favour of someone who was much more seriously ill.
So, I was stuck in hospital overnight, but nothing was done to me.
Then, at lunchtime today, a passing herd of doctors swooped in and told me that there wouldn't be a space for me till... Wednesday.
I was given the choice of spending a further two days and two nights in hospital for free, or paying for my own taxis and going home, to return on Wednesday morning. I was home like a shot.
This afternoon, I had to 'phone two different departments of the hospital to rearrange appointments, my insurance company about my laptop repair, the District Gnurse to get the dressings on my feet changed, (as opposed to just removed, which is what the hospital were planning to do if I stayed another night ) Tesco to change the date of my upcoming shopping delivery, George, Bisset, my Mother and my Sister. I think I flattened the batteries on the handset.
I haven't watched any TV for two days, and there's nothing worth watching tonight. If all goes well, I'll listen to yesterday's radio adaptation of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" instead. Perhaps with some Netflix when it's done.
