Sorry for the two-day gap between Journals. 
I got my new PointLinux OS working almost perfectly, then I told it to "Install all available updates". Unfortunately, while I was nosing around earlier I had checked a box enabling "Bleeding-edge updates" that warned it could make my machine unstable. Long story short, I lost my GUI, and I didn't have the install disc to fix it because I gave it to Grambo to install on the laptop he was going to sell... 
So, it took me till late this morning to organise a replacement installer, then just as I got it to run the Patient Transport service arrived to take me out to an appointment with the Clinical Psychologist... 
About fifteen minutes after I got home I was visited by James "the Weird Person", It was prearranged - he came round to compact my recyclables for me - but I had forgotten he was coming. 
So, it was around 8pm before I got round to finishing fixing my computer. But it almost works perfectly now. 
The one minor irritation is that it just refuses to mount my Hudl tablet, so I can't copy over any TV shows to watch while :/m in dialysis tomorrow. 
If I can't figure out a fix for that in the next half hour or so I'm screwed for tomorrow. 
Last night I watched several programmes, but because of the computer problems and the upcoming appointment about my needle phobia I got extremely drunk (about 1/3 of a bottle of Grouse 
) and thus don't recall much of it. I remember "2 Broke Girls", "Archer", "Bones" and "Continuum", but it all gets a bit hazy after that.
