I woke up at 5:30am with a sharp knee pain, and couldn't get back to sleep lying down. After ten minutes or so I ended up going through to the living room and going back to sleep in the armchair, in a position where I could get my leg swinging slightly, which made the pain go away.
It's not *that* much pain any more - more "discomfort", but it's still enough to stop me sleeping.
Around 11:30, I had put the bedroom radio on and tried another lie-down while I listened to HMQ opening the new "Broadcasting House" on Radio 4. Except I didn't get enough of a lie-down to find out if it would have helped, as the door buzzed after five minutes... It was James "the Weird Person".
We caught up, ate sandwiches, drank and watched a movie. Afterwards, he did a "bin run" for me.
Once he had left, I got back to trying to get OSX running on the laptop. I did! Briefly. It ran twice, then crashed (possibly because the laptop was overheating) and I couldn't get it to run again. I'm downloading a fresh, up-to-date copy in the hope that a completely clean install will help. (It just went "ping" to signify it had arrived as I was typing that! )
I watched "Django Unchained", "Stargate SG1", "Russel Howerd's Good News", "Sweat the Small Stuff" and "The Graham Norton Show".

Morning Peet, I'll keep you company if you like, the Memsahib having retired long ago to her little nest in the bowels of Shem Elohim.
I stayed up ostensibly to think, about Lamentations 3, prior to translating another chunk into English verse, or what passes for my own poetic style.
Oh I see morning ... no, afternoon indeed, Saturday afternoon and I'm left high and dry wondering what happened to all the stuff I bought for Daisy yesterday. It's gone. Sipho'll know where, she's out playing football. Humph.

Hey, Dags. It's all quiet here. I'm still struggling to get a reliable, stable release of OSX running on my new laptop. I've got a few hours to kill while a download eats up all my bandwidth... Hopefully I got a good movie recorded off BBC2 at stupid-o'clock this morning.

Watching Gear here. Great stuff, I'll try to keep it a Saturday evening thing so there's always something to look forward to on a Saturday nite when everyone else is out getting blootered and I'm sat at home, getting blootered.
Sipho has come home. She had a good day. I missed her. But she's home now.
Vaughan said she's good-looking and I agree.
She was very happy when I told her this.
I am happy when she is happy.
Oh! And I promised her she could choose my clothes for church tomorrow. Got to be up at 7, don't you know. It'd be easier to just not bother going to bed at all, but I did that last night.
