The website I'm working on, that is.
I don't like it, but I'm doing it anyway.
I worked on it all afternoon, but as the evening drew in I had a couple of visitors (George and Andy) that led to an interruption in my creative flow. (Oh, all right then, it led to rum and beer... ) We watched "Top Gear", then George headed home, while Andy stayed and watched "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure". I gave andy a loan of my USB floppy drive; actually, I think I said I didn't really care if I never got it back, as I've misplaced the drivers, and the ones that don't need drivers are really cheap nowadays.
At the moment, I'm watching "It's my life" on ITV. I was watching "The History of ITV" earlier, and there was a feature on the death of Grace Archer in "The Archers", and how it was used to disrupt the launch of ITV. I posted a message about that on the Archers BBS, and in passing found out that Richard Whitely had just died.
RW had been in my consciousness since 1982; I think I'm going to miss him.

Richard Whitely IS DEAD. That's a shock, was it a heart attack? He's not that old. What's gonna happen to Countdown?

Technically, it might have been a heart attack. He died on the operating table during a heart operation.
I have no idea what'll happen. It's Channel 4's longest running show, so I suspect they'll try to keep it going... While he was in hospital they organised a round of guest presenters - perhaps it'll carry on in "Have I Got News for You" mode?
