I finally solved one of my biggest problems with the Belsize site, and as a result solved a number of smaller problems and made great inroads into customising the design. 
Unfortunately, my graphic editor ("Pixel for Linux") is playing up. It has crashed, and there's no way to get out of it and restart without shutting the computer down. 
In the meantime, as I can't restart (BitTorrent stuff going on... 
) I'm settling for tweaking the PHP and CSS. 
I'm watching "Visions of the Future" and eating a mini Pepperoni pizza. I've got a huge amount of mushroom stew prepared for tomorrow. 
Earlier in the day I watched "Naked News", "Dangermouse", "Born Yesterday", "The Daily Show" and "Reaper". 
Tomorrow, I need to prepare some images. I can do it on my Windows 2000 machine, but not while I'm watching TV. 
Also, I have one particularly irritating layout problem to figure out - why a fixed-width table column inside a fixed-width table keeps changing size...
