I was feeling fine all day, but since I got home I've been feeling terrible.
I tried a "pickled walnut" for the first time; I expected something hard, but it was black and had the texture of an overcooked brussel sprout. Does anyone reading this know if this is normal? I'm afraid I may be coming down with mild food poisoning. I should have guessed something was wrong when the supermarket reduced them from £2.20 to £0.20 per jar...
The muscles in my stomach are quivering, and I was shivering even when fully dressed under a quilt and sleeping bag in a room with the heating on. My face feels hot; my hands feel cold and I'm not thinking entirely straight.
I'm sufficiently worried that I just checked to see the 'phone was working, just in case... I plan to sleep fully clothed tonight on the sofa, so I can make a swift run to the bathroom if the worst comes to the worst.
Heeeeeee's Alllllllive!

I didn't get to sleep till 2am, and slept fitfully, but I'm up now, and feeling almost human again. (Almost...) All my joints ache a little and my nose is seriously blocked, but my stomach has settled. I'm brewing a pot of "McBeans Breakfast Blend" , from a batch of beans I bought in town yesterday afternoon; that should kick-start my metabolism nicely.
About midday I should get a phone call from my pal Martin to check I'm still alive; I arranged it over the IRC last night - that's how bad I felt!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
