How am I going to be famous if nobody reads my stuff? Started conversation Sep 21, 2000
sushi is food for the gods and it most certainly has fat in it. Especially the sweet tuna belly or salmon skin which comes from fish that swim in cold water and subsequently have body fat. Arigato.

My brother's sushi cookbook informs me that you don't actually need fish... it's a particular kind of vinegared rice that makes it sushi. Are there any Japanese researchers who could confirm or deny this? Is vegetarian sushi at all traditional, or is it completely a Western construct?
