Hi Echo
It looks like there is just you and me left from the original CFG.
We could start it up again and may well get recruits as we go along.
With just two of us even I should be able to get around to doing the crits.
What about narrowing the challenge down each time so that we may one month do a challenge on a fable, sci/fi, funny rhyme and etc,
What do you think?
Could be good?
Might gain a few souls en route?
Shall we devise a critting system?
Or do it all laid back?
You are the expert on that as you seem to be in a lot of groups?
What do you think?
I am all excited?
I have got a bit of time this week, so could get going.

We can give it a try while you have a bit of spare time. I'm suffering a video of the Princess Diaries with my youngest as I'm typing this post. I'd much rather be writing anything.
You choose the challenge and age group this time. Formal is fine though I'm not keen on marking. I can post by Friday/Saturday.
Let me know chuck.

Fables for kids

Okeydokey
What about an original fable?
With "show offs get into bother"
message?
(not anything to do with your viewing tthe Dianna Video - makes you think though?)
Age 8 -9ish
Less than 800 words.
Using the old critting system for the ghost story challenge:
-Opening
-characters
-plot
-dialogue
-language
-theme
-pace
-involvement
-ending
-show-tell
-Message
Just using this as a guide to our crits. But not making any numerical evaluation.
What do you think?
Off for a gig. back in a few hours.

Great.
An 800 word fable is a good idea and the critting system is fine. Shall we post on childrens' fiction group thread or just post in childrens' section?
Thanks.

Great
I'll contact one of the editors to see if we can get this thread transfered to the Children's fiction group.

Hi Echo
I have contacted Jamie and he says that if we put a posting on the groups page he will move it over to take the place of the CFG thread.
So I have done it at:
F1661092?thread=383074
Hope you go along with all of it, if not I can easily change things.
Cheers!
Graham
