Since many of the researchers are from the UK I'm sure they will know the answer to a vexing question I have. What is the name of a drink composed of half cider and half stout called? What about stout and black currant?

A note of caution from the heart of Ireland, and hence, Stout.
If you mix stout and cider, and then proceed to drink it, you may possibly die. At the very least, you will be horribly sick and hungover for an elongated period of time.
As far as I know, no one has named this conncotion, but if I had to I would call it "The Stomach Pump."
Stout and blackcurrent is commonly refered to as a pint with a dash of red.

I have heard it referred to as a snakebite. I notice that both the Stout and the Cider are offended at this unholy pairing in the light of day. If you insist on it, at least bring them together the old fashioned way, under cover of stomach wall: by making the wrong chioce for that second glass.
