looking for any useful information to aid in the pain management of hypermobility syndrome? trying to avoid regular opiate analgesia so as i can keep working. In my job opiate's and work just cannot go together...i am an nurse. I do take stronger painkillers when not working but i am needing something to help me get through my shift with as little pain as possible. paracetamol isn't enough anymore. I take a variation of different analgesia including paracetamol, codydramol (various strengths), dihydrocodeine, diazepam (short spells only)NB i do not take these meds all at the same time. I am aware of the cautions.I also use various natural gels, hot/cold packs. I also attend physio, osteopath(previously, but very painful) and chiropractor treatment. I am in my forties and feel i am fighting a losing battle. i have used CBT practices to aid in behavioural changes towards pain and my response/reactions to it. I really would appreciate any help or suggestions.
