Calling People On Their Crap

So, I just discussed with a friend about himself. I don't know how to describe it...
He seems to like to make himself more interesting by being mysterious which he likes to call "thought pervoking". wow. Somehow, I know his personality type pretty well. I dated someone with his thought process before, not saying i know him, but I know how he works...its one of those obvious types. GROWL! 
I'd like to hear other situations on handling these types or just anything to add.
