The Wisest Fool

Why the hell do The Cardiacs sell nowt but the likes of Blur sell truckloads??? Isn't Tim pretty enough or something. Someone should buy him a Fred Perry T-shirt and a makeover quick.
Of course, it's all Jim's fault. Bound to be.

The Ginger Wizard

And another. Just had to stick my oar in.

I find Cardiacs gigs a deeply emotional experience. Most of this goes back to the frst time I saw them in 1980 - something, twice on adjoining evenings at the old Marquee. It was all there, the school uniforms, Sarah and Mr Drake, The Consultant and Miss Swift. I cried.

The mosh pit is a natural high as powerful as Ecstacy, and there is no finer mosh pit than Cardiacs. The experience is like a direct tap back into the emotions of childhood. There's the senseless violence, the bizarre rules, the chants and insults, the hysterical in-humour and the deep sadness of the certain knowledge that it's all going to pass.

Favourite songs - Nurses or The Whole World Window. I like the new stuff too.

And Schubert makes three…

Schubert Machiavelli

Make that another Cardiacs fan. Never before had I heard an album by a band in the background of a record shop where EVERY track just leaped out and made me ask: "Where have you been all my life?"

Fantastic!

Tim Smith is a genius of the top order - The Master Of The Chord Change, the Snake Charmer Of Melody, the Lyrical Gremlerino.

YAYER!!
