are we infinite?

I wish to know whether Space is infinite and therefore matter is infinite. Newton tells us that gravity behaves in an inverse square fashion much like other forms of electromagnetic radiation but what is x/d2 where x=infinity? Are we in a spherical stasis maintained by an ultimately equivalent sphere? If A device was developed to block the action in one direction of the theoretical graviton, would we zip off in an opposite direction jerked away by an infinite force? are we observing this phenomenon in the motion of lightspeed particles?
Just a thought?
