Well, thankfully I don't live there, but drop back and visit from time to time (relatives, you understand, not the unmissable delights of the town). You summed it up pretty well, although as far as posh stakes go, the residents are meant to be where the buck stops. HH residents are so well off that they work in London and can shop in London, Brighton or... Burgess Hill. Facilities have to be built there and not in HH because there are probably a thousand and one planning obstacles to contend with. Ooh, that's about all the excitement I can take from one piece of text!

Ok well what about shopping in the wonderful mecca CRAWLEY. And there is a new Virgin Megaplex there + swish bowling alley and TGI Fridays...........well we are going out to review the restaurants tonight. Hope we can actually get into one.

No comments from anyone in Burgess Hill yet???

Hmmm...you've hit the nail on the head with this desciption of My Home Town. And I have to tend to agree with you about the shopping and facilities.

I actually live in Linfield, which is a whole other can of worms concerning snobbishness and so on, NOT that I'm snobby.

Whereabouts in HH are you? And isn't it funny how quickly you can meet up with people near you on the Net these days?
