I've made a couple of tweaks - I added a for linkage purposes and also altered an early sentence from 'However, in the 20th Century it would have been noisy' to 'in much of the 20th Century' on the grounds that it wouldn't have been noisy between 1900-1914 and after production ceased. Was 1990 the year that manufacturing ended on the site?

Excellent tweaks, yes
Car manufacturing still officially takes place in the nearby factory (although there are various threats to its existence, so we shall see how long it manages to carry on after the end of the Transition Period ). Does that answer your question?

I've added that briefly to the end, so would you like to take a thorough read-through and let me know if you have any final thoughts?

Thanks <BB<
I think I need to clarify this sentence: "Between 1930 and 1933 it was known as Liverpool Airport - the aerodrome that would become Liverpool John Lennon Airport was officially opened in 1933."
How about: "Between 1930 and 1933 it was known as Liverpool Airport, even though it was on the opposite side of the River Mersey to Liverpool - the aerodrome north of the Mersey that went on to become Liverpool John Lennon Airport was officially opened in 1933." ?
Ah, I think my answer wasn't the answer to your question, so the added sentence is not needed after all - was your question about the sentence "After the War, Hooton Park became an aircraft manufacturing site2." ? The aircraft manufacturing/repair/servicing stopped in the 1950s with the loss of the Martin Hearn Ltd company and the disbandment of the squadron.
"(the company changed its name to Aero-Engineering and Marine (Merseyside) in 1947 when Martin Hearn left, and it closed in the 1950s)"
Thank you

I've added that sentence, but my question was about 'Vauxhall Motors acquired the land and built a car factory that started production in 1962' – are Vauxhall still manufacturing cars in the area, and if not when did they stop?

Ah, I see
Better to put it as a footnote on 1962, please - "The factory became known as 'The Home of the Vauxhall Astra' and production continued into the 21st Century"
Need to also add " to Aero-Engineering and Marine (Merseyside)" after "the company changed its name"
Thank you
