Before, there was naught but dark drained space,
Shadows lingured of forgotten false lovers,
But these are vanquished without trace,
As my yearning heart's vibration discovers
A familiar pull, but much stronger,
Than any it had felt with its past desires,
My life had hitherto always been empty,
Was vacant no longer,
Like a wall lit by flickering fires,
My heart fills with movement and grows hungry.
Just a small taste of you was all it took,
For me to crave you like an addict,
A fish barbed on a loving hook,
A tender-sentanced, life long convict,
I will always be forever triumphant
And with you as my prize, i prevailed
In the priceless game so many lose,
I had one the final hunt,
I had achieved where so many had failed,
For eternal happiness it's you i choose.
