Too bad about your accidental submission of your user page. I wish I knew how to help, but I'm pretty sure Mark will be able to un-submit it. As I type this, I am grooving to the live realaudio feed from your station. I REALLY miss college radio. I went to the University of Illinois, which had one very entertaining station (and a lot of crap). Then I moved to Denver, which had some ok stations but not much college-wise. Now I am in Corpus, which means I am in a radio-original-free-zone. Thank god for all my CD's. To see what I was listening to before I turned on the realaudio, see my journal entry.

By the way, I don't recognize most of the artists on your playlist, but that is a good thing.

One question - how much control do you have over what you play?

ummm, the bonus was provided by a friend of the team (just like they do in college sports!), and did not cost the club a thing. yeah.
eh, i am sure that it will all get figured out, about the accidental journal entry. worst comes to worst, i get a nasty email about the posting.
thanks for listening. right now (from 11pm to 1am US Central Time, just in case anyone else peeks in to this forum), you are listening to the 13th hour, which is a speciality show that plays all "dance" music (i hate to qualify it as such, but it is hard to classify otherwise).
as far as control, we have several rules. the first is that if the artist has had one song on the radio in the past 10 years, we dont play in on KVRX (of course, there are exceptions to the rule, and people break it anyway just b/c they want to). then you have to play 5 different genres every hour (for the freeform show, which i do, and so do most people), and you have to play 5 cds from the new bin (just a thing of new music that is rotated weekly). so i cant play most of the stuff that i listen to at home, but thats ok with me, since i do this to get exposed to other artists.
oh, the schedule on the KVRX page is not recent, so most peoples names arent in the right spots (so dont go thinking that my real name is sammy, or that my show is the scizophrenic sammy show).
nice mix you got going there. although i am not an REM fan.
