A Conversation for The Matrix, too far from the truth?

What a depressing thought for a future. Are you too old to remember when you were a child? Remember how you had some sort of a dream, maybe to build a spaceship and go exploring among the stars? It is actually a common dream, children used to dream about leaving the cities and going out west to be gunslingers or cowboys. Anything just to get away from civilization (Organization, rules, ...) Funny thing though, back then a lot of them did go out west... (If there had been no wilderness for Davy Crocket to move to, What would he have been like?

Have you ever wondered why we are told it would cost alot more to travel just to the moon, than it did the first time? What would happen if you could leave work, and toil? Would you go?

Am I too old?
Maybe just in the soul, unless you classify 25 as being old.
Perhaps just cynical smiley - smiley
I do have dreams but the logical side to me sometimes brings me down to earth with a bump, but perhaps because of this my dreams are incredibly vivid ones.

It may be a depressing thought but reality unfortunately has to be delt with. It is only by facing the cold light of day that we can make plans to tackle the problems, and through action create some form of hope for the future. After all, without hope of a better future why would we carry on existing?
I think if we didn't face the "dark side" occassionally then our perceptions of how we are progressing in life would be dangerously distorted to the point of affecting the reality.

And given the choice, would I trek into the unkown, say to the outer limits of our galaxy, something which not many people will have the chance to do?
Depends if I can get airmiles for it.

I would only do it for quite a lot of money.
And food. smiley - winkeye
And speaking of a Matrix kind of thing, would an equivalent of the Force be in there, which some people can use? And there MIGHT be interstellar travel through the Matrix (which isn't TOO hard, despite the fact that the galaxy is 100,000 lightyears wide, because space consists almost entirely of nothing at all). And a cool transition into Hyperspace! smiley - bigeyes

Well, I guess if it were possible to leave the universe, then travelling in Hyper-space would be okay, as long as you were happy in not existing in the conventional 11 dimentions.

lol I was hardly expecting a reply. It was four years old. I guess things don't change. People do.
