h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

hey all (all 0 of you)
so it begins, another fun filled week of work. actually i dont mind that much, but it does get boring sometimes. i havent finished the book yet, b/c my friend came in town, so we partied all weekend long.
so, needless to say, i havent done any more reading. that and i got another job to work on (contract work), so it looks bleak for a real guide entry from me anytime too soon. but fear not, i will eventually have one up (and accepted)
all for now, so get back to work

in your first section of diatribe (big word, ooh), you have two links, and one sends a javascript command that shows the users that are on h2g2. or i think thats what it does. its still cool. how did you know that that was there??
and no prob about the plug, you have a good page, and mine still sucks (i was working 2 jobs for a few days, so no time to work on it, but now i have time again). i figured if someone found my page, then i could at least point them in the direction of someone who has their act together in the Guide.
this weekend i think i will go looking for texans to see if we can get more people to come to some gatherings (although i am sure that zach is doing the same thing). you did see about that, right? i think i saw your name among the replies. anyway, time to work.

The o thing - Now I see what you are referring to. I tend to forget those links are there. The first sends you to an index of all official guide entries, articles awaiting rejection, and user pages. The second does indeed show you who is logged on at the time. I got the user login thing off of Jim Lynn's page - he is one of the head honchos. I don't know where I found the index thing, but I have seen both items on countless other pages. I hid both links on o's to keep them from cluttering up my already-crowded page. I suppose it isn't very user-friendly to others, but what can I do?

I did see Zach's posts about Texas get-togethers, and to be honest, I'm not really that interested. But I'm always willing to chat (and logged on to H2G2 more often than not..)

Off to have a Shiner.....
