O.K. It's not that hard...
Say you look around you carefully before you cross the road. You won't be run over by a car. Now DON'T look around. You will be hit by a car.
Quad Erat Demonstrandum ; You can never see a car that hits you, only those cars that do not hit you...
Simple or not....
TM.
And by the way ; YYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOOOO : I'm the first.
TM.
Nope, sorry
Sporkulious Eglon Posted Oct 6, 1999
Yeah, that didn't make any sense.... Who says you can't see the car that hits you, only the cars that don't? You, my friend, need to take a class on logic
Nope, sorry
TowelMaster Posted Oct 7, 1999
Hi,
Did you actually read the article then...?
Makes even less sense to me...
By the way ; I dodge cars whenever they try to get me so...
TM.
Nope, sorry
Sporkulious Eglon Posted Oct 7, 1999
I did... And no, it does not make any sense to me... seeing how I was hit by three cars in my lifetime (not saying that I was only in 3 car accidents), and two out of the three, I actually saw that car that hit me, come head on to me... I too try to avoid the cars, but, damn them, they always seem to get the best of me...
Nope, sorry
TowelMaster Posted Oct 11, 1999
I'm more of a lamppost-man myself...especially when I'm not in the drivers-seat (we drive on the right side of the road....)
Nope, sorry
Sporkulious Eglon Posted Oct 11, 1999
Ah, yes... Well, I always seem to be in the car that has a mind to swerve into other cars... Rather brutish... where are the good car-shrinks?
Nope, sorry
TowelMaster Posted Feb 28, 2000
I did not hear a Pokemon-quote there, are you cured now YK ?
TM.
Nope, sorry
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Feb 29, 2000
No. I have, in fact, set up a page at http://www.h2g2.com/A229772 for those effects.
Nope, sorry
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Feb 29, 2000
However, I'm slightly over that due to almost universal lack of interest by Sporkulious Eglon (now Freedom Deep). Now I'm in the market for finding a Jedi Master. [dead serious] Know any?
Nope, sorry
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Mar 1, 2000
'At's okay. I've met some other people who might be able to poit[sic] me in the right direction.
Nope, sorry
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Mar 2, 2000
No, no, no. But I've asked stuff on the "How do I" forum, and I've found a page called "So you want to be a Jedi!"
Erm, does anyone have enough money to book me on the flight to Yavin IV?
Nope, sorry
Researcher 99947 Posted Apr 11, 2000
Hmm... I rather liked the conversation we were having, TM.
Nope, sorry
Researcher 99947 Posted Apr 12, 2000
oh, I was just stating that that was one of the best conversations I've had on h2g2.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
