h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I got over my huff to an extent yesterday and things got better when an acad told me about a job in the offing that I should go for and said that "there are a good number of people in the (sausage factory) who think very highly of you..." (Better still - he promised to lend me his copy of the David Crosby autobiography).

Actually, three people told me about the job in the offing, each specifying the hush hush nature of the info. Aye, there's nothing leaks like a sieve... except a corridor-full of acads.

The pictures was a blow-out last night. The state of the roads delayed Susan to the extent that she arrived at the cinema 1h45m after setting off from work, a half-hour after the flick started (Texas Killing Fields), and what was worde I had shelled out for the tickets. I fancy Contagion.

Daffy shouldn't have let himself get taken alive. The dragging of the body thru' the dirt was bad - the Romanians handled things much better.

The flicks being a blow-out, we spent £30 on treats from M&S and came home and watched some DLS LPW.

Today - catching up with course admin work. I redrafted the tenemants article and sent it off for final pre-submission comments. I will be heartily PO'd if it gets rejected as it is the first thing I have worked up the energy and interest to write for publication in an age - G&H 13th ed doesn't count.

I have just written a £££s report and sent it off to the firm I do work on the side for.

Lamb for tea. Ver' nice. A LPW and then a Bored to Death, wi' some ver' fine chocolate stout.

Chill day. Miah sicked up a hairball then had a fight on the stairs.

I listened to a couple of Hari Georgeson albums. George always was my favourite Beatle. George Martin let him down badly.
