Down to Uni twice today - first, to return marked scripts, then later to return a big pile of library books. I tried Caius' door but he wasn't in.
In between visits, Susan and I had a walk along the beach prom.
Later, at home, I boxed up CDs. I have sold my classical collection, lock stock &c, for £400 (50p per title, which is what a dealer would offer). I sold them to a private individual, who is going to absorb my 700+ titles into his collection.
I have not listened to the discs for ages and have been offloasing them for free in batches of 100 or so at the Law School. Basically, i decided that amputation was the best option.
It'll be the LPs next, plus a Linn deck. I have two possible trade purchasers in mind.
I am off to Glesca tomorrow for four days. No pleasure, I can tell you. Maybe I'll try to take in a show.
I went to see the Glyndborne Turn of the Screw cinema simulcast last night. I will be hanging on to my Britten operas, plus my British chamber music discs, but nothing else. I like British chamber music.
I also cancelled my Gramophone subscription today.
Steak pie for tea. A bottlie wine. The Nightmare Man, complete in 4 parts. A bonny morning but a dull afternoon, spent reading a horrible agricultural leases case.
That's Susan back.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
