Autumn

Susan commented on it today. It has been Autumn for a week.
I went in to the Uni to pick up a rump bundle of scripts for marking. I saw the head of school, and will have to meet up with her the week after next to sort out my teaching.
Susan and I went in to town. The Bruce Millers auction was open to registered bidders only. We visited various charity shops, and I-UP (I have developed a tast for Stephen Malkmus, and his back catalogue is cheap enough.
We had lunch in town then came home via the supermarket. We tried to get Peet in to deliver some cawffee beans - he said so swing by sometime with them - and two dimpled pint mugs (a charity shop find). Either he wasn't in or he wasn't answering the doorbell - I gave four long blasts over two minutes.
Miah is putting away the food like there's no tomorrow.
Sausages for tea.
Susan is out backie cutting the grass.
In reality, the Bruce Millers auction was a non-starter. There was lots in it, but the Lots had been put together so as to best serve the commercial bidder. An individual might bid for one Bose radio, but is unlikely to bid for a Lot of 6.
So, I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to the shop I have been a customer with for thirty years (various locations). A pity.
I may have a buyer for some of my classical CD collection. I want rid of the lot, but he may want to cherry-pick. We will see. Any money I get will go towards that Yamaha...

PS. I had an e-mail from my superviser drawing my attention to a recent court judgment. Michty.

Autumn-ish here too - it has been a lovely sunny day today, and quite warm this afternoon, but this morning was cool, with a hint of mist ...
