I've read a fair amount anent English land law and done some prep for my land economy lectures - I am going to start the students with Stair II.1.1.

Reading English land law is scary - the system seems so ramshackle. This is not a chauvenist assertion; it really does appear ramshackle to the Scots lawyer, lousy with equity and, it appears, no firm foundation of principle. I mean, a voluntary national title register from 1925 only. We have had a compulsory title registry in Scotland since 1617.

Curry for tea.

Susan had a nice long walk.

I took out a heap of rubbish.

Miah is asleep in the living room.

Peet phoned. He said something about having been searching for some old USSR space programme film footsage on the internet but not being able to find it. It took me two minutes to and I really can't see why he had experienced any difficulty.

Anyhow, it was a meh morning but has turned into an OK late evening. Susan has the health visitor tomorrow, and will go to the car at some point to give the engine a turn.

On Saturday I have plans to drag Susan all the way to Rosemount, to visit a good butcher then drop in by Mellish' Cheese Shop.

A big hoo ha at the Uni. An off-campus researcher has been downloading tons of subscription database stuff, in breach of the use agreement, and a warning has been sent out to all and sundry, 'we have your ISP and it is being checked.'

It wasn't me.
