We caught the bus to Duthie Park then did a circut of the Winter Gardens. We walked back into town via the railway arches, and had a look at a rather good antique place in one of the tunnels. I bought a late C19th Waltham gold-plated pocket watch for £65. Shome mishtake shurely.
I have done some goofling on the watch and reckon it is worth more than twice the price.
We walked to Union Square and had lunch at Peckhams. Then we did a charity shop - Wallender paperbacks, a jigsaw and a King Crimson CD then bussed it home.
OK day. Some rain.
Hobo With a Shotgun tonight. The Queen, on DVD, for Susan.

Best wishes to Sue for a speedy and complete healing.
Duthie Park was where I used to go for a walk when I lived in Bon Accord St.
I saw Her Maj there in 2003 (I think).
Winter Gardens a favourite place, especially the Arid House.

Hobo With a Shotgun is a Ronseal flick. Ver' bloody, ver' 70s grindhouse. Rutger Hauer comes across very well - a tragic character, a sad character, a gentle, wistful old man confronted with a society degenerated into bestiality and affronted by it... with a shotgun.
Subo With a Shotgun? I'd pay to see that too.

Sounds ver' good.
I remember a brilliant movie about a man and some power tools, in a box set entitled "Video Nasties", but I can't remember the name. It had a good soundtrack. As I remember from research at the time, the movie concerned is a horror classic.
