We watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAkMm3GhykI last night. Ver' funny.
Susan never got to a holiday camp, but I went to Butlins twice and thought it was splendid. I remember the great big bright airy dining hall and the first sitting and the second sitting and the chalets and the Pig & Whistle and the lounge and the shows. We had wrestling, with George Kidd - aye, mind, George Kidd!
Susan has the Health Visitor (and assistant) in with her at the minute. Changing the dressings.
I finished Murder on the Orient Express last night. Michty! Who could have seen that one coming?
One dead mousie last night plus a stairhead yowlfest. Usual 3.30am shenanigans.
The Butlins was at Ayr. It had everything. I was under 12 and went with my nan and granda the second time.
Porridge for breakfast. Bacon & eggs &c for tea.
Peet's journal of last night got modded. His response anent the mods - 'we'll be shot of them soon enough' - was priceless.
...Buses catches the 70s nicely. We were poor, we stank, we were sordid and grubby, but - by yiminy - we had Glam, and Robin Asquith.

I was copying and pasting from an old £££s report today: Well, the £££s are OK, but they don't buy 100% originality, and I am happy to recycle (to quote the Talking Heads, say something once, why say it again?)... anyhow, I found this sentence - "the agency has not opted to sit on its laurels". Sit? SIT??
Rest!
Laurels can be prickly things.
