I went down to the Uni to see the Law Graduation procession &c. Caius looked ver' smart. I located and photocopied the Edinburgh Improvement Acts of 1827 and 1867 - the pages on the 1867 Act were still uncut, and a librarian had to 'prepare' the book for me, i.e. cut the pages. I said, give me the blade, I have no problem with cutting the pages myself, to which he replied "no, but I might." The chat went as follows: "Edinburgh Improvements? Would that have anything to do with trams?", "well they would have had the technology and the organisational skills to build a tram network in 1867, unlike nowadays".

Sitting watching the parade, I noticed the bike I gave to one of the acads in May. Still locked, in the same place, having been rained apon and left to rust. Forgotten. Ignored. Left out in the cold and the damp. And I thought, that's me...

I mean, no skin off my nose - I gave the thing away, and what if I haven't recieved the bottlie o' Jamiesons I was promised in exchange?, it's just that seeing that bike symbolises so much.

I went to Sainsburys and bought some shopping.

I am in Cupar tomorrow.

The head of school wants to see me at 2pm on Thursday.

Yes, Caius looked ver' smart in his Camb. doctorial tobes and cap, and white tie. He gave me his i-Phone and said "take my picture" but he had on his greasy cheezy smile, so I said "Alex Salmond" and took the picture.

Aye aye, what's this http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/2011/07/04/plan-to-bankrupt-wife-killer-malcolm-webster-to-stop-him-being-buried-next-to-murder-victim-86908-23245918/

Lateral thinking.
