Day 15
Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Started conversation Mar 15, 2005
On the 15 day of March, Saint Patrick said to me
"twenty seven out of thirtie"
Stanley Kubricks 2001. Arguably the most debatable film to have ever existed in the history of mankind. Its not insane, just bizarre. Immensely subversive, and suggesting so many things that you miss the majority.
I did an essay, and in my petulant youth tried to prove an answer to 2001. I provided many a valid explanation as to why the glass shattered, and why the room was made of light. Filmstudies lunatic (see tutor) shook his head. 'Twill not do' he replied as I remember, and the two pages of A4 corrections - complete with pictures - are testiment to that.
I re-wrote it. When I say I re-wrote it, what I actaully mean is that I cacked my pants and rushed it - to the point where several examples and sentences didnt actually make sense at all (including the bit where I actually put 'and this shows that...'). Arguably the most flawed essay ever written.
27 out of 30 hes give me, but he wants to have another look at it. Me, knowing my mistakes, quickly jump in and say 'Theres mistakes, can i correct them'. He furrowed his brow slightly and said Aye, and with an evil grin I shimmied away into the night.
If I can blag an extra point or two (or that glourious 3rd), then My coursework will balance out perfectly. The first one got only 25 (still an A mind) - 55 out of 60 is pretty decent by anyones standards.
So I pushed the depression aside with a smile and have decided to carry on with college. Undoubtably I need a job now pretty desperately, but I could through strength of coursework alone, cruise through and get a B - C if i screw up on my exam again.
Now I must go, for referances have to be made! MWAHAHAHA!
