I reveiwed a DVD a while back for the post that had a great impact on my child hood.
Conan the Barbarian.
Now how can you not love conan? Hes great. If i could be a charecter from literature it would have to be Conan. No messing about making people pie like Titus, or selling soulds like Faustus, or even running across a big world clutching your ring...
Conan the Barbarian (even thought he was never called a Barbarian in the books written by the insane Robet E Howard) was argueably the definative Conan film. Whilst destroyer tried and failed, it did bring more fantastical elements to the series that was more apparent in the books.
So imagine my glee when i stubbled across a snipit of information. I had heard awhile back that the Wachoskis (of matrix fame) were destined to take the barbarian, but im happy to say that John Milius has began working on Conan: Crown of Iron.
If anyone cares to find where John Milius lives so i can go pester him for a job as a skivy on set then id be well chuffed and would love you forever
