Bloody hell
I'm sorry, I'm a little shook up and I dont know why. Well actually I do but its silly. Yes I've just watched Rocky Balboa, and in the space of an hour and a half (or however long it is) I was transported back to my childhood.
This seems to be Hollywoods swan song if I'm honest. With the rise of youtube clones, the cheapening of the medium, and all the other wonderous developments and the industry flagging in the last few years it was due.
Okay, nearly everythings a sequel, but thats a good thing. Things to look forward too, in a vague order
- "300"
My original anger and resentment at this film has disappated in the face of stunning visuals. The quality of the trailer, already has my salvating at the though of watching it.
- Evan Almighty
Okay, not the greatest film here but I have a gut feeling that its going to be a sleeper hit, likely bigger then bruce almighty.
- Spiderman 3
I dont like spiderman. In fact I dont like comics, because nearly every film maker I know embraces them as the key to there talent (Frank Miller isnt that good, and niethers sin city). But Spiderman has always been a funny one. Its like a guilty indulgence. I dont like actively watching it, but I enjoy it when its on. Venom however, rates as one of my all time badies so woo!
- Live free or Die hard
Watch the trailer for this, and tell me it doesnt look like the love child of john mcclaine and that guy Shield, on acid.
- Alien Versus Predator 2
Again, not wonderful, but its allegedly set in a 'sleepy colardo town'. Isnt south park a sleepy colorado town?? I hope to the goblin king that trey and matt notice this and do a whole rip of.
- I am Legend
I'm praying this comes at the end of this year. Mainly because its a will smith film with no one for him to comidically bounce off. As such, he'll be forced to act (He can act, and I'm not just refering to Ali)
Theres a few I've missed off - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for one, smokin' aces for another - but I have a degree to earn so go find trailers, enjoy this year of films because from 2008 the best your going to do is numa numa man - the trilogy...

I dunno I wouldnt be too concerned about it, depending on what sort of viewer you are - in other words, if you went to see LOTR and expected every detail, then its surely disappointing. However if you go and say 'hey, its this guys interpretation' then it should come up pretty good
