Should the U.S. restrict the civil rights of Muslims?

Also... according to the article, "Forty-eight percent said liberties should not be restricted in any way."
That says good things about us, right? *hopeful*
Why aren't our politicians listening to THAT percentage?

Being the twit that started this bloody thread, I would like to point out that 80% of Americans polled when asked about the registering bit replied with the equivalent of "Screw that!". Those 80% are to be commended and are something to be proud of.

That's what puzzled me; I wasn't sure if Mckay meant that the Black & Tans were the reason for the army being introduced in the 60s or not. Anyway, it's just a digression, so I'm not going to mention it again.

20%, I thought it was 48%. And besides I seem to remember the poll this thread referred to never mentioned muslims at all.

The poll did mention Muslims. I provided the link back at the beginning. There was a preamble section which didn't mention Muslims, but the actual questions and the analysis did. The 48% was in favour of some sort of restrictions. The 20% were in favour of registration.

Post #7. But I'm not going to try posting passages again. There was a certain margin problem.

very good advice. I never had the problem before, however.

As far as I'm aware it's an intentional "problem" so that you need the full product of adobe acrobat to handle formatting. That's beside the point.
On the subject however, doing what I do, I live by the assumption of being watched. Employers watch their employees for example.
If you want to create a militant group then provide paranoia and then provide substance to that paranoia, i.e. curb civil rights.
Key: Complain about this post
