I'm reading the Bible according to Spike Milligan.

How does Spike Milligan know what you're reading?

I've read it. I find him a bit manic sometimes.
But I loved his, "Adolph Hitler: His Part in My Downfall"

I've not read it

I remember reading it as a teenager, when certain things seem magnified due to hormones and stuff, and literally having to put the book down because I was hurting with laughing so much at certain sections. I tried to read some of it out to my mates but couldn't as the words wouldn't come out through the agonising laughter.

I'm not sure if I'd find it funny now though.

I enjoyed Puckoon too - though I hear the adaptatoin for film/tv was rubbish.
I love the thought of the struggle to draw the borderline between the north and south of Ireland with everyone eventually grabbing as much of the pen as they could and dragging it across the last bit of the map. Thus putting the border straight across the bar of the Puckoon pub - it was then cheaper to order drinks if you stood in the far corner.
