Four daughters.......

Today, in 2007, the eldest is becoming 31 years of age. She loves modern dance and drama and did study both at a univ. in the state of N.Y.
All her sisters (three) have different and strong personalities.
The eldest is very much a "modern dancer" and art/choreography lover. I could once help her to choose what's really important inside for her and go for it. I'm still thankful I could coach her in these days.
She's the only one who lives in the U.S.A. http://www.monroegallery.com/detail.cfm?id=297
Her mother and sisters remain in holland.
Her sister of 29 is police woman already for ten years in a big city. She once turned into a slapstick situation when she did stop a man on a scooter and wanted to (on-the-spot) fine/ticket.
The guy became hugely angry; "don't you know who I am?!! I am a famous criminal in this city and you're writing a ticket about me??!!" "Well, I've never heard of you, and what's more important, I'll write a fine anyway".
When she later arrived at the police office everyone was very impressed she had dared to give him a ticket. She is the ultimate pragmatic as a human being can be. If it works fine, well do it, if something doesn't, don't do it.
She's always lucky. Buying a car for thirty euros and she already uses it, while it's inspected every year. No, it's not a stolen car.
The eldest made once in New York someone else upset too. A few years ago she was co-organizer for a benefit festival. Well, late at night, a man in his fifties, asked, if she wanted to dance with him. He asked her after dancing, what she was doing in New York.
So she told a few items she's involved in.After that, she asked him, what he was doing in daily life. The man almost instantly fainted at the spot. "You mean to say you don't know me? I'm a national famous T.V. personality". "I'm sorry, but I hardly look at T.V.".
The man could not cope with it and left the party.
The third daughter in line has a sensitive character and was a very passionate soccer keeper. But she got a whiplash while being the keeper. Later on it was discovered, that there is something "wrong" with all the tendons. She's having bad luck many times in her 26 years.
She's always wanted to produce movies, but she was not selected and knows she's part of a T.V. production company. She has a very sensitive caracter and uses it fully also in her professional and social life. Very mature.
Sometimes TV companies bid higher salaries to get her, but most of the times she mainly chooses for "quality" in stead of just money, although she's rather wealthy.
"Wealthy" is not the word that can be said about the youngest (24) of all. She's a daddy’s girl from day one, so I must confess; she's been spoiled and is the only one with debts, etc. But she's doing fine and works as a manager in a huge railway-museum, all in Jugend Stil style.
Combination of entertainment and education. Like story tellers once every hour, who tell stories about the countries that the orient express was going through in the past.
She's working with full speed and she seems to really like it. http://www.spoorwegmuseum.nl/en/index.html
Besides being sisters, they became friends with each others. As I wrote, one of them is involved in making TV programs and a few months ago they were making a program about "sisters" and those who were invited, did not show up. .
Well, they asked if she would stand in with her two others from Holland. By exception she did.
When I was on a walk at the Belgium brother I was thinking that I felt "honored by being their father". When I returned into my studio there, I did what I never do; tune in a Dutch T.V. program.(I only watch BBC). Suddenly I see my three daughters talking about their lives as friends... The youngest was standing in between of them.
Totally unexpected.
They do a lot with each others, having, or not having a lover/boyfriend. The also go together for short holidays with each others, besides visiting bars and festivals, etc. etc. If a boyfriend would protest, then the choice is appearently very clear; find another girlfriend.
It's just that they happen to be who they are. Nothing more and nothing less.
When the eldest became thirty, last year, my "T.V. daughter" went to New York to visit her at her birthday. She gave her something very impressive.
In all secrecy, she had made a docu-video about the peoples in the life of the eldest; interviews with many peoples, including her sisters. All in English written at the screen, music, etc. etc. When I called her on that birthday, they both walked close with each other on Broadway, visiting a musical. What a characters.
I think this is the frist time I write explicitely about my daughters. Well, it’s part of my life and I’m part of theirs. Their mother is from U.S.A. and did stay in The Netherlands, also after divorce in 1993, after 15 years of marrige. As a result,we all now are more satisfied than before.
They all have two passports and they want to leave it that way.
They seem to be far younger as they are.In the video, when minute 6 starts, they all three stand up. Watching at screen, the one at the right is the policewomen (29), in the middle the youngest (24) and to the left the T.V. daughter (26).
That such a “bond” exists.
It’s almost a victory on my own childhood. But that’s another story. This story is about them.

In the end I am talking about an on-line video where they have their say in, in 2006. (a TV program about "sisterhood")
I decided to leave that item out, but I forgot to remove all words about it.
It would become a show-off.
That's not my aim.
