By accident I found out at the BBC-2 site about h2g2.
Never before had I heard about the Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Neither the book and the website.
I use internet for very personal e-mails, practical things, photography, to visit a forum of a national newspaper and sometimes a datingsite. That's about it.
When I surfed at h2g2, I was intrigued by the possibillity to write in a personal Journal, that would remain there for a long time.
I liked the idea, that it all was linked with and under supervision by the BBC; a broadcasting company that I admire.
It seemed to be a friendly place with room for the fiction aswell non fiction.
H2G2 was for me the push to start "writing" and so I did.
Sometimes as a maniac, but I didn't mind, although I lack the skill to play with words as I do in Dutch. Writing in English is a great effort for me.
Well, that's my entree to h2g2.
Tell me yours, I'll be happy to hear it.

Thanks for your answer.
I replaced it, because of the feedback I got, bwcause it "might" get problems for some visitors with another skin.
Now i'm really going to bed.
It's 2.15

I found H2G2 when my crazy friend sent me an article from here about making bras out of plastic bags (we were trying to find a cheap way to dress by b/f up as madonna for a party). As soon as i saw that, i knew this was my kinda place! Abd it just keeps getting better as a find my way around.

I found h2g2 when I read Douglas Adams obituary on the internet. There was a link to h2g2. I had read all the Hitchhiker's books back in college, and loved them. I have stayed because there are some really interesting people on here. There's a good mixture overall of seriousness and silliness.

The first week I had a keyboard in my hands-
I looked up feral children (don't ask) and then just goofing around I asked ;
Do pigs fly? Both ended up with some reference to h2g2
Then I came here and was fascinated by the concept. I remember reading the Hitchikers guide a long time ago. One of the oddest but fun things I'd ever read. I usually read non-fiction.
