The Klein Bottle started out as the Klein Surface. In German it was Klein flache. Flache means surface. This was mistaken for a similar word Flasche which means Bottle and people started calling it a Klein Bottle. But the name stuck, because it is very suitable. It looks like a bottle, although it is unusual in that everything inside it is also outside it.

interesting tho, how surface and bottle are similar words in german that both accurately describe the klein
i think it'd b funny if they had the calvin klein bottle: they could market a zero amount of cologne as an infinite amount
