a Man from Mars

If you can travel in time, Time=Space.

If we consider "conventional" air travel, can we visualise it as time travel. We travel [in Time] and when we arrive we see a whole NEW world.
It is not simply another destination within an existing world but a shift, in Time and Space, to another parallel world. But this is fairly basic stuff and should not be too hard to imagine. Accepting it at this early stage may be more difficult. We do not move within one world but move within and throughout many.

Physically, it is not possible to go back in Time but it is possible to imagine a time past and move to it, in our present and future...to be continued, too tired for now

Hello!

I was thinking about that too. About going back in time, it’s not only that there are countless possibilities, but we also have a proof! The fact that no one came to us means that people will never travel in time. Before, I used to think that time is nothing. We made up all those units for time, but no one can explain it. It’s nothing, yet, it is something important, something that keeps everything going… weird… You really do sound like a Man from Mars =) I’ll be coming back to comment on your journal entries, if it’s ok with you of course. smiley - martiansmile

Alina,

It is always good to talk, my pretty Russian friend? oh, those Russians!.....and now I am going to check on Rasputin. That was your fault and I thank you for that.

I find your post full of contradictions, which is confusing....." "About going back in time, it’s not only that there are countless possibilities, but we also have a proof! The fact that no one came to us means that people will never travel in time"...is one contradiction?

Share what you know to be true and it will be accepted all over the world.

"The fact that no one came to us means that people will never travel in time."....... and where did "homo sapiens idaltu" come from. Did he evolve overnight? Did he come from Mars? A figment of our imaginations?

There are countless possibilities whenever you have no Belief....in Truth.

How can I believe in truth, if I live a blind life, or even worse, afraid of it (the truth)? It might sound stupid, but I really miss my best friend. I didn’t see her for three years and it is very disturbing feeling (not talking to her or anyone else)… the only thing left is to wait, for how long, I don’t know. What’s wrong with Russians? Can’t they have emotions?

There is a little detail that should go after “The fact that no one came to us means that people will never travel in time." After that should go “The way they want it, no control to where exactly it will bring them.” No matter how hard I try, it is impossible for me to imagine going back in time. It will reverse the natural cycle of everything, except that person who is going back. On the other hand, going forward is decelerating your own perception of time (which might be just slowing down of the person’s heart rate, but since he doesn’t have anything to compare it with, he wouldn’t know). And yes, it’s just my though, (there are a lot of “maybe”s and “might”s in here) and it doesn’t mean anything. Maybe I can learn from you… (life can’t be taught). My guesses came purely from books and from my believes (that constantly change, I contradict myself all the time), which are not always that reliable. Although, in this case nothing is reliable, since no one is sure. But you don’t need prove to believe in God. People “knew” that Earth was flat and everything evolved around it. Now you can still say that Earth is flat, depending on what definition you attach to that word…. I’ve never heard about “homo sapiens idaltu,” so now you got me interested. “That was your fault and I thank you for that.” But seriously, it does sound interesting. <-- *sighs* there is no point in all of the above, I’m just really lost.

Alina,
First things first. There is nothing wrong with Russians.I was merely wallowing in pleasant, past, interaction memories. It was a compliment.

You wrote " <-- *sighs* there is no point in all of the above, I’m just really lost." Thank God for that. That is at least two of us. When you have infinite knowledge, you know that what you know, is nothing compared to what you do not know.

Please consider these few notions.

a] We live one day at a time ie when we sleep, we die and when we wake up we are re-born, so that every day is a new life.
b] The world is only as big as you can see with your naked eye. Therefore why should anyone wish to do harm to anyone else, especially if there is only the two of you in the world.
c] Travel is not space related but time related, which is why, as a current example, the Americans are having such a hard time in Iraq. Imagine a horde of "aliens" from a civilisation 50/100/1000 years ahead of yours trying to help you.
Talk, my Russian friend, it will help to keep you "sane". Here, on h2g2, the world listens and replies.
