h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

(Boards are still down, so I thought I'd have a ramble)

Is it time to take stock of where we are with BBCi exiles' pages on h2g2?

I would see QQ Nights as being very successful - just look at the long list of members. It's regularly used overnight, and JR and Doc have been very attentive hosts.

What about the parliament site? It hasn't really been supported as well, but I see no reason why it shouldn't pick up following the BBCi problems this week.

My BBCi Monitor site hasn't been well used so far. Not many messages have been left, even when the boards have been atrocious. This may improve if more BBCi exiles come to h2g2. I'm thinking of rebranding it as the BBCi User Forum.

Are any other boards thinking of moving here? I did see vague interest from posters on Mustardland and the Great Debate, but nothing tangible.

What about MC-H? Is anyone interested in running a site for this? Incidentally, is there an h2g2 official guide entry on Mornington Crescent? It sounds like it should have one.

I'd be happy to help anyone set up a page if they're interested in giving it a go.

I'm sure nobody would object if someone started a MCH thread (or several) on this page. After all, it costs nothing, won't make the page look untidy, and this is quite a nice place for us all to hang out.

And it would keep Istvyn off the streets if you let him post the rules on!
