Fuchsia What A Scorcher

Icy, Elephant Hawk moths are luvverly so I suggest the best way of 'getting rid' of your hookah smoking scoffer is to flick him in to a matchbox and transport him to the nearest bit of wasteland/railway enbankment where the rosebay willow herb flourishes and pop him there. It will give your fuschia a break and by the time the little bugger crawls back he'll be a moth.

Tiny 2nd

Hi once again Icy, have just read about your caterpillar-very interesting-but I notice it says they are mainly in the Cheshire area, perhaps that is why I have not heard of any plants being attacked,I live just south of London which may be too far.

Anyway I will make some enquiries down here and let you know of anything of interest.

Incidentaly some people believe that soapy water is a deterent to cat's on cabbage plants, I have never tried it myself but it might be worth a go. Tom

Thanks both,

Tom, I'm based just south of London too, so be afraid, be very afraid, and lock up your fuchsias.
