I have no idea if this will be a good thing - but good to have something to fall back on if the powers that be don't see sense.

I rather hope they do - as h2g2 is not quite the same thing. I like both, for different reasons.

Thanx 4 da reply, CG. I'm kinda hoping that once you're past the front page of hootoo, you'll hardly notice a difference (other than improvements!) between this structure and the one in QQ. What will make the difference is whether the QQ crowd join in.

We hope QQ will be restored and improved. Recent events have made us pessimistic despite some semi-official messages to the contrary. Anyway, now there is a 'Plan B' if the worst comes to the worst!

Yes, of course it's a good idea. Fingers crossed we won't need it because h2g2 really is difficult to find one's way around initially - at least it has been for me.

What constitutes a non-QQ thread? And is there going to be an h2g2 MC-H! too

Here unimaginatively I am the same, tried this h2g2 out several weeks ago, find it odd as yet, but maybe all we have left the way things are going.

Hi James. Hootoo is huge and potentially infinite. I hope this little corner of it will help QQers to feel comfortable until they find their feet. The easiest thing is to follow other people around who have similar interests. Peer into their pages. Nothing is private here. You'll see my main conversations on the toxxin page. On 'fact or fiction' we've just passed the 10,000 messages mark.
