did you get a warning from the highers that be in hootoo concerning the thread that substitutes the word love for something err ahem else.. scared to say it incase they pounce on me again....

i can see you posted something.. did you get a warning??? i can't see how mine could possibly be the only one as the entire thread is bursting with rudey carry on inuendo....

nearly 2 yrs on hootoo and my 1st time in the naughty corner.. which i feel is unjustified if it is in fact only myself.. the whole idea of the thread is to be smutty is it not??

confused can you tell me if you are deemed naughty too??

I've had a look - what did the email say? I'm guessing it said your post had been referred because it may have broken the house rules? This is standard text if your post has been yikes'd by another hootooer; or it contains a "suspect" word (as well as the "banned" list, there's also a "suspect" list). It then gets referred to a moderator, who decides whether it has broken house rules or not.

If a post contains a rude word, it may be removed immediately by a moderator even though it might have passed the profanity filter. In this case, the email will state categorically that the post *has* broken house rules, and has been removed.

What seems to have have happened is the first case above, and the post has been reinstated once it's been looked at by a mod. It's nothing to get in a twist about - I've been moderated (both fairly and unfairly) several times. I tried arguing the point once, but it really wasn't worth the hassle.

thanks RF thats pretty much whats happened.. it was my 1st time
it seems they didn't look at the post in its entire content so it was reinstated.. they have apologised as i didn't feel i had any dreadful thing.. as i told them rudeness is not a problem on hootoo, more problematic is the nastiness i have witnessed now and again.. downright vicious sometimes...

i didn't even know what a yikes button was.... they were quite nice we exchanged several e mails and they did take my feelings seriously, as i felt i had been singled out on a thread that was bound to be naughty whichever way you look at it
