today is the first day of the rest of my life, as they say in the classics

Do you ever have those days when everything is in tune? The weather here today is absolutely delightful - can I get away with the phrase 'a harbinger of spring'? No? Oh. - well, it's pretty darn nice anyway.
I am hugely happy - not for any particular reason, just because life is truly good. I am relatively in control of things at work - usually a sign that there's some tremendous cock-up I'm not even vaguely aware of but, hey, ignorance really IS bliss. I have friends and family to visit with all weekend, the prospect of a BBQ tomorrow if the weather remains stunning and - importantly - a splashback tile to choose for the kitchen.
This is the last item that remains to be chosen before the massive kitchen, bathroom and miscellaneous walls renovation can begin next month. You can't begin to imagine what a relief it is to have settled on the detail of all the domestic trivia that that entails.
I hope everyone else is feeling at least half this good. Oh, and roll on the weekend!

And today is the next day of the rest of your life, as the classics frequently fail to elucidate upon...!
I sympathise with the being truly happy bit - I think the 'harbinger of spring' bit has a little to do with that, 'cause I think I've been feeling it too. Unlike yourself, however, I've not yet been able to articulate my thoughts on the issue.
Happiness is good, though...!

And then there was ALSO a new journal entry from bubster! And Krissy became extremely happy to see that one of her best friends was doing so well.
*gives bubster a great big squidge and kiss on the cheek*
