hello!

nonono, come on in! drop by anytime etc...

Mostly I have my page do the short-circuit thingy because it really annoys my friend Greg smiley - winkeye . It's done using a bit of javascript that I stol- *ahem* borrowed from someone else's page and tinkered with a bit. All sorts of javascript goodies can work on your own page, but it's a bit of trial and error sometimes getting them to work. Lots of other people know way more about them than I do...

Welcome aboard smiley - smileysmiley - fish

Hey AA!

Bubster, I'm not sure I like being considered as a 'wedgie' (on the assumption that i can consider myself your friend), especially given that that word is prone to misappropriation. An ambiguous and not altogether flattering thing to be called, I suspect...smiley - winkeye! Bear in mind that I consider you more of a 'mole': only potentially malignant, most often benign, dark and hairy, and found in the strangest places.

I'm off to look at AA's page as well.

AA, I think you have a very good outlook on your friends!

I appreciate the problems getting started on the web page: reading - or attempting to read - a whole lot of coding is a bummer. No need to apologise, though, the message which IS there is probably the right one - you just want to make it more exciting, which I can possibly understand. You don't need bells and whistles, though, although if you want to see them used to good effect, bubster's the man. Have a look at my page for a much more text-based outlook on things.

I have a website listed somewhere which is great for teaching the rudiments of HTML, and GuideML instruction can be had from Bruce at

http://www.h2g2.com/U25551

as well as in other places, at least the first few of which are accessible from the front page. I'll see if I can find that HTML instruction page, if it's still operating...smiley - winkeye

i do try to be very upbeat when it comes to my friends, one of my faults is to always try to find the good in everything smiley - smiley
when it comes to my page i do not think that i would want it to be too busy but i would like it to be a bit more interesting (somewhere others can find neat links and such). i do appreciate your help with the link and finding the other pages with instructions on them. maybe once i read a bit about how to do all of the neat things i see on others pages i will give it a try on my own smiley - smiley
